Top Ten Organizing Tips:

1. Have a place for the things you use most.

In our busy lives, we can't always make time for details. That said, we can make sure the things we use the most, or give greater value to need to be put away so we can find them again. Give those items a place of honor; a place they can easily found when needed.

2. Keep items close to where they are used.

A small stash of pens and paper by each phone helps shave off the time you might otherwise be hunting for. Or, by keeping coffee filters and the grounds by the coffee machine you can streamline tasks to make your life that much easier!

3. Keep frequently used items in readily accessible places.

By having a key hook by the door (and training yourself  to use it) you will avoid ever having to go on a key hunt.

4. Label everything!

It may seem tedious, but by labeling everything you can free up some of the space in your head. Counting on your memory to know what's in the box never works. We're simply too busy to remember those kinds of details.

5. Store similar items together.

Keep the teas together in the kitchen. Keep your arts and crafts in one room. Group your office supplies in one place. ItŐs an easy and effective way to always find what you need.

6. Keep a trash bin near where the mail comes in or gets sorted.

Junk mail has become a staple for all of us. And, if you know you don't need it, get rid of it right away!

7. Avoid "Miscellaneous" files.

This is a common way to collect a myriad of stuff which you may not be able to locate again.

8. If you are not going to wear it, give away. Someone else will need it, want it and use it.

Thrift stores provide charities with a steady income. Why not give free up your closet space and do something good.

9. Keep lists of supplies you need.

If you keep a list on the fridge of the items you regularly buy, you can check them off as they are used up. This way, there is no time wasted in making up a grocery list. Check our website for a standard list that you can print and keep posted.

10. Plan ahead!

The more you do in advance, the more time and energy you free up. Rushing is
never fun, by planning ahead you allow yourself the space to breathe.
